Its been a long time that I've written anything here for months.
The CCTV project went without any problems except on little glitch which made one camera go bonkers.
The bloody internet thing was overcome by a fever inducing thought process, meaning I practically overdosed my brain until it overheated.
Like picture, its a tyre probably overheating like my brain on GetaBull.
Some would guessed it already.
But I'm hungry, so I'll post something later...
Its a mini bag-holster-pouch for my 2 most used gadgets, my HTC Touch Diamond and my Apple iPod Touch...
With nothing related to that, it was a labour inducing but not inticing day as a photographer...
a total of nearly about 850 pics we're taken by me this week...
I'm tired, so I'm not that interested to type on this little touchscreen...
One thing, children and weddings just don't mix together that well...
Especially whith photographers...

The thing is, I'm at a place where cows are reared. And I'm bored... just bored.. the cctv project is still ongoing. only 2 out of 4 cameras have been installed. And I still haven't figured out how to access it through the internet. It works if I'm on the same network. Its balding my head...
In the picture you can see a new wireless-N router, a dvr of some sort and a camera. In the picture also you can see my iPod displaying the streaming content those camera's are broadcasting. The thing is, I havent figured how to bloody configure it over the internet. I've managed to configure it for the network and it works. Only thing left is viewing it over the net, the most important thing. hmmmm...
I'll figure it out somehow...
After I get bald thinking of it maybe...
Its been a long time since I posted anything here.
Thats because I was busy with with my new residence where I'm studying, a rented house.
I've got stuff that'll need my engineering experties.
There's a CCTV suveilence system that I need to set up at my Penang residence.
That shall make me a very busy person for the next week or so.
Busy as hell...
Now it runs on unleaded premium fuel.

Ok, before this it ran on Windows 7.
As my policy now days is to go legit on as many software and hardware I use, it seem beligerent not to buy and use a copy of Windows 7 for my laptop. But, you must see for yourself that I don't print money out of my asshole.
So in the spirit of open sourceness, I installed the newest version of Ubuntu. Version 10.04 LTS(lucid).
First of all, Linux isn't a toy that you play with like a fire cracker. Its a full version grenade.
All and I mean ALL of the system drivers work. Even my 3G broadband modem works with it.
Some needed to be downloaded. By that I mean by just bloody clicking a bloody button that says 'download driver'.
There are several drawbacks.
One is, the lack of things to do.
Its too simple a chimp would probably know how to use it.
Second, the OS has a ala marketplace for software but all are free. But it lacks some proper software for media go'ers like me.
I'll continue testing it in my camp activity.
Ok, my finals are over.
Now what?
Currently I'm trying to install ubuntu on my damn laptop so I can use it without it bitching to me that my os isn't licensed. So I'll use open source. Ahha!
Next week I'll be going on a camp leave. When I say camp, it isn't really camping. Its more like attending a seminar. So that'll make me busy for a week of my long semester break.
And I just listened to the Poets of the Fall's new album 'Twilight Theater'.
Its as great as their usual performances.
