Well, this is the first real post after a long time testing and configuring stuff over a long period of time.
Well, after probably 3-4 month without doing anything that involves blogging and brain crashing on the blogosphere, I shall now blog with full force of a baby trying to push a car.
This week, I have made a cannon. Yes, a cannon. But not the killing type. It just manages to launch ping pong balls about hmmm…… 3 meters perhaps? I don’t really know exactly how far it really can go. But some of you might really be thinking how the bloody hell does anybody make a cannon these days? Cheap and plenty of air…
It’s an air cannon. It uses air. Yes, air. I pump air into a hand made(meaning it will probably blow one day) air tank using thick PVC pipes. After its full(I don’t even know because there is no psi gauge), I put the ammo(ping pong balls) into the barrel and pull the release valve. And all hell breaks loose as the projectile is fired from the barrel into the air.
I haven’t used anything else than ping pong balls yet. Ping pong balls don’t actually have the best momentum of projectile available because its just a few grams in weight means it cant go very far. Hence the abysmal range. But, what if I insert the ball with something to make it heavier? Hmmm… A good prospect of carnage…
