I just bought a spanking new 12V 8.5A power supply to supply enough power for the fridge.
Previously it was running on a computer power supply unit(PSU) that I have no idea what amp rating.
Then within 4 month, that PSU just went kaput for no bloody apparent reason.
I had a 12V 2A PSU for emergency uses.
But that isn't bloody enough to run 2 bloody peltier plates and 3 fans needed for the fridge to run at its highest efficiency.
It needs more amps.
The emergency PSU was literally burning just supplying 2A for 24 hours a day.
It could be used to cook eggs for god's sake.
Now with an ample amount of power ready for tapping, I can power a whole lot of stuff and a whole lot more than a 2 peltier units.
I could power the 80W peltier unit I just bought for RM35.
While I tested the new 80W peltier plate, it seems that it has a mission of ridding me of more money because it damn nearly burnt my hands off with 80W worth of heat and making me decide that it probably needs better cooling.
Damn this world.
